Why we use cold vulcanizing pulley lagging?

Pulley lagging is a kind of mature cover method with long service life. Recent years, cold bonding pulley lagging gradually replace the hot vulcanizing method by quickly developing method.

 

 

The advantages of hot vulcanizing pulley lagging are low price, good adhesive with drum. But the disadvantages are lower wear resistance and aging resistance because the rubber sheet with less glue and high sulfur content. Besides, the efficiency is low because customers need to disassemble the rollers and send to factory to cover the roller.

 

Cold pulley lagging can be quickly finished because it can construct on site needn't remove the rollers. And the cold bond rubber sheet in good wear resistance and aging resistance. But the disadvantages are expensive and the roller diameter less than 30 cm should not be made by cold rubber because it is limited by its tension.

 

The cold vulcanized pulley lagging is characterized by “cold vulcanization”, that is, the cold vulcanizing cement at normal temperature can be fused with the vulcanized reaction of the semi-vulcanized CN layer of the rubber sheet to achieve a bonding effect similar to thermal vulcanization, in terms of bonding strength. Even higher than thermal vulcanization bonding, it has an absolute advantage in the convenience and ease of operation of encapsulation.

 

Whether the glue and the rubber sheet have cold vulcanization effect, it should be confirmed by customers. The cold vulcanization reaction can be determined in the normal temperature environment for 30-60 minutes.
